Happy New Year! I am happy to be back and hope that I can be more consistent in my communication with you for the remainder of the school year.
I'd like to highlight the final required performances for you so you can plan accordingly with your children.
February 9, 2014 is our annual Pops Concert at Loyola and starts at 2:00 PM! This is a change from the original date due to a 4-day weekend that occurs after Valentine's this year... We are currently in need of auction items. Those that signed up to help earlier in the year will be contacted shortly. We will accept anything from gift cards to season tickets you may want to take off of your hands... The proceeds from this event are specifically used for use in the music programs here at Loyola. This is an event you will want to bring the whole family to.
April 10, our final concert of the year where we honor our outgoing senior class.
April 12, IHSA Organizational Competition, TBD
May 24, Graduation.
Students interested in performing at Solo and Ensemble this year need to get me their information ASAP. I need to know the name, instrument, how long they have been taking lessons, how long they have been playing their instrument and finally and most importantly this year I need to know what piece they will be playing by next Thursday the 16th! All students with honors weighting need to do this. The competition is held March 8th and will be held at Hinsdale South, more info will be forthcoming.
If you are interested in helping with any of these events please contact me, we can always use an extra set of hands.

LOYOLA VS. PROVIDENCE
WE WILL SEE YOU ON GAMEDAY AT THE TENTS JUST NORTH OF THE STADIUM ENTRANCE. ENJOY A BRAT AND BE SURE TO BE THERE BY 12:30 P.M. TO CHEER ON THE FOOTBALL TEAM, THE BAND, OUR POMS SQUAD, AND THE CHEER TEAM AS THEY ENTER THE FIELD. HUGE GAME!
